Proposals will be formally assessed for scientific merit and innovation by an external, Expert Review Panel comprising internationally prominent researchers in the field.

Potential conflicts of interest will be actively managed. Expert Review Panel members are not allowed to submit proposals or to participate in assessing proposals from their own institution or when a potential for conflict of interest otherwise exists.
